Documentation
RedeemID lets customers sign in to a WordPress site with their Shopify customer account, mirrors that account on their WordPress user, and opens the site to what it holds: its tags and its status. These pages cover the setup, in the order you need it.
- Install: requirements, installing from a zip or from source, and uninstalling.
- Connect Shopify: the sign-in client, the Admin API app and webhook registration.
- Configuration: the eight values RedeemID needs and where to set them.
- Member accounts: sign-in, shadow users, linking, refreshing and disconnecting.
- Tagging customers with Shopify Flow: how to add and remove the tags RedeemID reads.
- Access levels: named tag conditions that rules, gates and features point at.
- Paywall rules: gates, rules on items, terms and post types, and where locked content stays hidden.
- Features: site behaviours, such as ad-free reading, that the same tags unlock.
- Selling memberships: plan cards, buy-now, and what happens after checkout.
- Working with Shopify’s WordPress plugin: who does what when both plugins are installed.
- Admin screens: what each screen under the RedeemID menu shows and does.
- Hooks, REST and WP-CLI: actions, filters, routes and commands for developers.
- Troubleshooting: fixes for sign-in, webhook, access and search problems.
- Privacy: what is copied from Shopify, and how export, erasure and Shopify’s privacy webhooks work.
The plugin’s own README on GitHub is the full reference for every setting. RedeemID is in early development, so check it against the version you run.
