Everything access needs. Nothing billing does.

  • Sign in with Shopify

Customers sign in with their Shopify customer account. New customers get a WordPress user; existing accounts can be linked.

Needs pretty permalinks and a Shopify app with Customer Account API access.

  • The account, mirrored

Name, email, status, and tags are copied to the WordPress user and kept current by Shopify’s webhooks. A disabled account loses members-only access.

Updates on sign-in, on webhooks, and on resync, never on a schedule.

  • Memberships from Shopify tags

Flow or your subscription app tags customers. WordPress reads the account’s tags and decides access on the server.

Renewals, cancellations, and terms stay in Shopify.

  • Gate content

A Membership Gate block, rules per item, term, post type, and site, per-block visibility, and a paywall break.

Teasers stay out of feeds, REST, search, and SEO descriptions.

  • Features

Site behaviours such as ad-free reading or downloads, unlocked by the same tags as your content.

What each feature does is up to your site.

  • Member account

A block that shows each member their levels, dates, and features, with a link to their orders and account in Shopify.

Guests see a sign-in link instead.

  • Sell memberships

Plan cards with live Shopify prices and a buy-now button that opens a Shopify checkout without JavaScript.

    Needs a Storefront API token.

  • Cache-friendly

Personal parts of a page render as Blockstudio dynamic islands, so the rest stays cacheable.

Personal parts fill in after the page loads; the guest sign-in link works without JavaScript.

  • Signed-in checkout

Signs Shopify’s own cart in for a signed-in customer, so checkout knows who they are.

Needs Shopify’s WordPress plugin for the cart.

Works beside Shopify’s own plugin

Product grids, collections, and the cart are left to Shopify’s WordPress plugin. RedeemID works the same without it.

Status

RedeemID is at 0.0.1, in early development. Expect breaking changes before 1.0.0.

Try it with a development store first.

Install the plugin on a staging site, connect a Shopify development store, and sign in with a test customer account before a real customer does.

RedeemID is still being built

RedeemID is a WordPress plugin that lets customers sign in with their Shopify account and opens your site to what that account holds. It is in early development, so parts of this site are unfinished and details will change.

It is coming soon. We are looking for sponsors and for the first stores and publishers to use it.
