Blocks for the block editor

RedeemID is built for the WordPress block editor. Every piece a visitor sees is a block, so you place it in a post, a page, a template or a pattern like any other block, and every block also has an Access panel. All of them are rendered on the server and work without JavaScript. They are built with Blockstudio.

Find them in the inserter by name, or by typing “Shopify” or “Membership”.

Sign-in and account

Block What it does
Shopify Sign-in Log in with Shopify, log out, or connect an existing account. Cached pages carry the guest link, and each visitor’s own action fills in after load. See Add Shopify customer login to WordPress.
Shopify Account Status Where the visitor stands: signed in or not, linked to a Shopify customer, and when their membership last synced.
Member Account The member’s own page: levels, join and renewal dates, what they get, links to manage their Shopify account and subscription, and requests for a copy or erasure of their data. See Member accounts.
Membership Features The features the visitor holds and where each comes from, such as “Ad-free reading, from Gold”. A menu mode shows up to three in a header.
Refresh Membership Lets a signed-in customer pull their membership from Shopify again, for the minute after a purchase.

Gating content

Block What it does
Membership Gate Two areas: Members only, and what everyone else sees instead. The hidden area never reaches the browser of a reader without the level.
Paywall Break Everything after it is withheld from readers the post’s rule locks out. They see the part above it, then the sign-in and join panel.
Access Badge Names the level a post needs, in the level’s colour. In a query loop it labels every card.

The panel locked-out readers see is a component, not a block you insert; a theme can restyle or replace it. See the Editor’s guide and Paywall rules.

Selling and the store

Block What it does
Shopify Plan Card A membership plan or product with its live Shopify price and a buy button that opens Shopify checkout. See Selling memberships.
Shopify Product One product with its live price, options, quantity, Add to cart and Buy now.
Shopify Collection A grid of a collection’s products, with plain Next and Previous links.
Shopify Cart The visitor’s cart, with quantities, a discount code and Check out. Signed-in customers check out signed in.
Shopify Cart Link A header link to the cart with the item count.

Products, collections and the cart are covered in Products, collections and the cart.

For administrators

Block What it does
Shopify Health A checklist of what RedeemID needs: permalinks, the callback page, Shopify sign-in and the settings in wp-config.php (never their values). Only administrators see it.

The Access panel

Every block, RedeemID’s or any other, gets an Access panel in its sidebar. Show a block only to a level, only to readers without it (an “Upgrade to Gold” prompt), or only to members holding a feature. A block setting can hide more of a post. It never opens a locked post to more readers.

Caching

Blocks that show something personal, such as the sign-in control and the account blocks, are Blockstudio dynamic islands. The cached page holds a neutral placeholder, and one request after load fills in each visitor’s own version, so pages stay cacheable. See Caching a membership site.

RedeemID is still being built

RedeemID is a WordPress plugin that lets customers sign in with their Shopify account and opens your site to what that account holds. It is in early development, so parts of this site are unfinished and details will change.

It is coming soon. We are looking for sponsors and for the first stores and publishers to use it.
